• Bird's Eye

Since the 1840’s this old farm has seen its soils grow apples and pears, then change to Italian plums and walnuts, and again change to cherries and hazelnuts. These days you can still find them all growing in small groves alongside the humble and mysterious grapevine. These are Oregon’s best hillsides soils, deep and well drained. What we see on the surface hides the complexities that we strive to deliver to your glass.

  • Farm Life

While wandering among the vines growing in an acre sized labyrinth, you will likely notice that the forest still exists between the vineyards, full of mosses and mushrooms and a path not forgotten. In the middle, a barn stands against a thousand Oregon storms that have weathered its sides for over a 100 years.

  • Events to Remember

Glass in hand, enjoy a song from the band while you mingle with friends old and new. There may be paella or farm fresh hazelnuts to nibble while a dance erupts in the barn that has seen many-a-wild country night.

Walk our Path

If you walk our vine labyrinth, you may emerge from one row, turn and discover a completely new perspective. This is much like dominio IV where love of Pinot Noir such as our “Rain of Leaves” may, in turn, lead you to a Tempranillo such as the “Tango” or “Sketches of Spain”. By the time you have encircled your way to the center you may discover a table and chairs with glass of Viognier such as our “Still Life”.

Tempted by Tempranillo

As the temperature falls, we gravitate towards Tempranillo. The warm wool blanket of tannins, the crackling coziness of spice, and the toasty richness of the fruit provide the necessary materials to prepare for late fall and winter! Couple this with the bliss of friends and family around a dinner table, or even the peace of a night to yourself on the couch, and you have got yourself the perfect companions: The Tango, Sketches of Spain, and the Labyrinth are here to help those incoming winter blues!

Visiting the Farm

When you arrive at Dominio IV you have options. We can set you up on the 1916 farmhouse porch, and you can rock in your chair while the breeze reminds you that the ocean is nearby. Or have a walk up the cherry-trunk stairs to the hayloft of the 100-year-old barn. We have places to hide away and places to walk with a glass in hand. Come see what farm life evokes both in your glass and in your heart.
